The LaunchAI Impact Report: How AI Agents Are Helping Customer Onboarding and Implementation Teams Move Faster

Since we released LaunchAI, our suite of AI Agents and LaunchAI Chat, we've been thrilled by how fast teams adopted it and how often they come back to use it, whether that's in the app or through the full MCP Connector toolset.
But adoption and daily usage don't answer the question the rest of the team and I have actually wanted the answer to: is LaunchAI helpful? Is it making a real difference?
There's no shortage of promises about what AI can do. Some are real, and truly help teams move faster. A lot of it is fluff. Every day, I see examples of "this amazing thing" AI can do, only to dig in and find out it either requires hours of setup or AI agent training, or that once I try it, the solution seems nice in practice but doesn't actually save me any time over my current process.
We wanted to know, for certain, what category LaunchAI fell into. So we ran a deep dive: comparing teams using LaunchAI against teams that weren't, over the same weeks, to see what actually changed this summer.
The answer, once we looked at the data, was clear. LaunchAI makes a difference. It's genuinely helping teams get more done, onboard customers faster, and get them to launch sooner.
We found it interesting enough that we figured you would too. This is our first LaunchAI Impact Report.
Where Teams Using LaunchAI Outperformed
Four metrics, four different directions. LaunchAI teams moved up on every one of them. Comparable teams that didn't adopt LaunchAI moved down on three of the four, and only barely improved on the fourth.

The widest split was task completion speed, where LaunchAI teams beat control teams' pace more than three times over. The narrowest was stages completed, a real gap, but the flattest of the four, and worth reading as a softer signal than the rest.

Below, a closer look at each metric: what it means, our best hypothesis for why it improved, and the LaunchAI functionality behind it.
Teams using LaunchAI moved faster, and got more done
LaunchBay, even without LaunchAI, already helps teams stay on top of onboarding better than spreadsheets and email ever did. Teams running LaunchAI pulled even further ahead. LaunchAI teams grew project activity 18%, while comparable teams had 23% less overall project activity.
Why? The more visibility a team has into what's overdue, what's stalled, and what needs attention, the more they act on it. LaunchAI Chat opens with a daily briefing of what's unread, what's critical, and what to do first, all from a single chat. From there, a team can respond to customer messages, create or update tasks, and resolve blockers, moving an account from closed/won to launched, faster.
Teams using LaunchAI completed more tasks
LaunchBay's templates already give you a structured, repeatable way to run a playbook that combines internal team work and customer-facing tasks in one place, so work gets done faster while keeping the same experience for every customer. Teams using LaunchAI pulled ahead here too. LaunchAI teams completed 9% more tasks per month, vs. 26% fewer for comparable teams.
Why? One explanation: summer is a busy time for most teams, between vacations and holidays, someone's often out. Instead of reassigning an entire project to someone else, LaunchAI makes it easy for any team member to step in. They can see the insights, issues, or blockers an agent has already surfaced in the inbox and act on them from chat, without digging through the whole project's history first.
Teams using LaunchAI completed more stages
Stages in LaunchBay are the milestones within a project. Automations, reminders, and the Client Portal itself already help stages move faster on their own. This summer, teams using LaunchAI pulled ahead here too. LaunchAI teams completed 3% more stages, while comparable teams completed 24% fewer stages.
Why? Stages and tasks are directly linked: a stage isn't marked complete until every task inside it is. So it follows that the same teams completing more tasks would also complete more stages. Worth noting on its own: stage completion is a slower-moving, higher-level metric than task completion, which is likely why the gap here is real but smaller than what we saw above.
Teams using LaunchAI completed tasks faster
Even when your team does everything right, tasks can stall waiting on someone else, a customer who hasn't filled out a form, forgot to upload a file, or still needs to sign off. LaunchAI teams cut task time 27%, vs. 8% for comparable teams. A 19-point difference in overall speed.
Why? Client Accountability, one of the agents in the LaunchAI suite, is built to catch exactly this kind of delay. It automatically flags overdue tasks and drafts a nudge, so instead of writing a reminder from scratch, you can send it as-is or add your own note on why it matters and what to do next.
How We Measured It
We first built this report for ourselves, before we ever decided to share it publicly, so we wanted to be sure the data was accurate and wouldn't mislead us or lead us to the wrong conclusions. We did that in two key ways, both shown in the graphic below.

Fair comparison groups. Instead of just looking at teams before and after they started using LaunchAI, we compared them against similar-sized teams who never used it, over the exact same weeks. That way, if every team slowed down this summer, it doesn't get unfairly blamed on, or credited to, LaunchAI.
Active project tracking. Most before-and-after comparisons like this only count tasks or projects that are finished, which makes anything look faster than it actually is. We counted tasks for projects still open at the end of the window too, so slow-moving work couldn't be left out of the results.
A few things the chart doesn't show that matter just as much:
Medians, not averages. A handful of unusually large or active accounts can swing an average hard enough to make a small group look like a trend. By design, every stat in this report is the typical per-team change, not a number a few outliers could produce on their own.
Real teams, not made-up baselines. Every control team is a paying, established LaunchBay account, active for 90 days or more before the comparison period, matched to a LaunchAI adopter on activity level, seat count, and account age.
Established accounts only. Teams with under 30 days of post-adoption data, limited active projects, and teams still working to set up LaunchBay were intentionally excluded before we ran a single comparison.
Looking Ahead
We built this report because we wanted proof, not just a hunch, that the LaunchAI features teams have been adopting all summer were actually making a difference. Now we have it. Teams running LaunchAI are getting more done, faster. That's the whole point of LaunchBay, equipping you with tools to:
- Move onboarding and implementation off messy spreadsheets and email, onto a system built for it.
- Take every account from closed/won to launch faster, with the same repeatable playbooks that let your team bring their A-game every time.
- Scale your systems for activating, retaining, and expanding customer accounts, growing without adding headcount.
This is our first LaunchAI Impact Report, not our last. As more teams adopt the full suite, we'll have a bigger sample to compare against. Future versions will go deeper: how individual agents perform on their own, both the ones live in LaunchAI today and others still coming, plus how these numbers move as we keep shipping new features week after week.
Try It Yourself
The teams behind these numbers aren't running a different product than the one you'd sign up for today. LaunchAI Chat and the AI agent suite are available on LaunchBay's Premium plan, and the MCP Connector puts the same tools to work from Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini.
